Frequently Asked Questions
As AndCare UK grows, we will continue to update this section with relevant information.
What is ACICS?
ACICS - And Care Information Collation System - is a Care Management System designed specifically to integrate with the needs, tools and services of our care partners, being the a focal point to operations by providing advanced management of company process data - an information collation system.
Current Features
ACICS is not a static service / tool but instead aims to expand and include a wide variety of other useful features as they're integrated into And Care Core. Currently, the main features include:
Intake and Management of Clients, Applicants and Staff
Advanced data processing with Custom Attributes
Synchronisation of information between integrated systems
Unique Client interaction diary
Advanced Contact Management
Advanced Recruitment Builder
Advanced User Management
What is And Care Core
And Care Core is what ACICS is built on, and acts as our internal base for new features and improvements. A partner may have specific customisations, adaptions and changes that drastically differ it from our Core version giving rise for the definition.
Why are we different / Why ACICS?
We're not simply trying to compete with other big name providers - we appreciate there is a lot of choice available and adding to the mix is counter-productive.
ACICS solves the actual problem(s) you have while also utilising the tools and services you currently use - replacing and / or adapting to them as your needs change. By using ACICS, you can dramatically reduce paper & printing costs, improve the time requirements on data input / auditing and better prioritise and distribute work between your teams.
Is there a contract / Minimum length?
A minimum contract of 12 months for any licensing approach, while the actual length will vary based on your requirements, needs and budget.
Can I continue using ACICS after the license (if I self host)
No, once your license expires you will be unable to use ACICS when hosted internally. Standard integration features can be used before the actual expiration to export data.
Why do I have to request a demo?
An open demo is currently being considered. In the meantime;
We understand you may want to test ACICS in a more practical sense using close to real-world scenarios, however we do 'reset' a demo bi-weekly to ensure this cannot be exploited. Requesting credentials for a demo allows us to control and ensure the quality of your experience for a more ideal representation.
Do you have more technical details for ACICS?
ACICS is written in C# using the .NET ecosystem, specifically Blazor, and is powered by an MSSQL Database. It can be deployed / used in a cloud configuration where hosting, maintenance and availability is managed by And Care UK. It can also be deployed onto an internal IIS (or appropriate) server where a partner has supporting necessary equipment.
ACICS is being developed with OpenAPI support. ACICS does not use any paid and / or licensed frameworks.
